I am a Ph.D candidate in the departments of sociology and informatics at Indiana University as a fellow of the Complex Systems and Networks-NSF Research Traineeship program (CNS-NRT). I am originally from New Jersey and received a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers University in 2016.
My research uses computational methods, particularly networks, to understand the relationship of technology and social change. I am particularly interested in the social processes and consequences of automation. My dissertation looks at the development of AI for medical technology, particularly diagnosis.
I am passionate about technological literacy in all its forms. Before academia, I worked in the rock climbing industry.
